Marco Muzzo to plead guilty in fatal Vaughan crash, says lawyerJanuary 6, 2016
The lawyer for Marco Muzzo, the man accused in a fatal drunk-driving crash, says his client intends to plead guilty to some charges when he returns to court next month. Muzzo made an appearance in the Newmarket courthouse today with his lawyer Brian Greenspan, who says Muzzo is expressing deep remorse for the deaths, and has done so from the beginning. But he also says pleading guilty to all counts is actually impossible, because some of them are redundant. Muzzo faces 18 charges including impaired driving after the deaths of 65-year-old Gary Neville and his three young grandchildren: Daniel, Harrison, and Milly Neville-Lake. They were killed on September 27 last year when their van was struck by an SUV in a rural area of Vaughan. The plea will be heard in court on February 4, and sentencing will take place February 23 and 24.
