White Politician Wins Election Leading on Black Voters
In a recent election a conservative Republican named Dave Wilson was running for a seat on the Houston Community College Board of Trustees, in a predominately black district.
The real story? Wilson, a white man lead voters to think he’s black… and it worked!!!
Dave sent out flyers with photos of black people (but WITHOUT his photo) saying quote, “Please vote for our friend and neighbor.”
He also sent out mail with an endorsement from Ron Wilson, making people to think that referred to a popular former black state representative when in fact, it was from his cousin another Ron Wilson, who lives in Iowa. HA!
“Mysterious” Dave won the election by 26 votes and will get a six-year term bumping out Bruce Austin, who’s ACTUALLY black, and has had the job for 24 years.
When he was called out on hiding his whiteness, he said, quote, “Every time a politician talks, he’s out there deceiving voters.”
Lol kind of sounds like a storyline that would come right out of that Eddie Murphy movie “The Distinguished Gentlemen”, click the video below for a reminder.
