Asian-Swedish Man’s Drunk Driving Charges Dropped Because of His Ethnicity
A 63 year-old Swedish man was filling up at a gas station in Kariskrona last week, allegedly behaving in a drunken manner.
A petrol station attendant witnessed the alleged manner and called the police, and when authorities tracked him down and breathalysed him, he was found to have a blood-alcohol level of 1.64 per millilitre, EIGHT TIMES over the Swedish legal limit of 0.2 millilitre.
In court, the Swedish man’s defence lawyer pointed out that he’d ‘read on the Internet’ that Asians process alcohol differently (yes folks the drunk man in question is in fact of Asian origin!), so he wasn’t sure if the guy had drank too much or his body just didn’t process the alcohol right. –
The charges were then dropped! – LOL
