Rachel who aspires to be a biomedical engineer, filed the lawsuit last week in the Family Part of state Superior Court in Morristown that seeks a judge’s declaration that she is nonemancipated and dependent as a student on her parents for support.
Her parents say that their 18-year-old daughter moved out voluntarily after refusing to abide by their rules. – Sounds like a spoiled child right?
Well, according to the wise judge assigned to the case, Mr. and Mrs. Canning DO NOT have to pay her high school tuition and Rachel’s request for a $654 weekly allowance and additional financial support, including her attorney’s fees, was also denied.
