Man Sues Rescuers For Saving Him Fast Enough!
Roy Ortiz, from Broomfield, Colorado agrees that he’s lucky to be alive, after nearly drowning in his car when it was submerged in floods last September. However, Ortiz is not on the same page with his rescuers, and may be thanking them with a lawsuit instead of a traditional gesture of gratitude!
Ortiz was stuck in the back of his vehicle for two hours before being rescued and had managed to survive on a small pocket of air. He’s thinking of suing his rescuers for $500,000 (£300,000) because they were apparently not quick enough, and also didn’t realize he was still alive in the car. The unhappy man also plans to add the county of Boulder in his potential lawsuit, because he thinks the road should have been closed when waters begun to rise.
The rescued man reportedly needs money to pay for his medical bills arising from the incident. – Wow, so much for a simple ‘Thank You’.
