Mark Strong & Jemeni kicked off full programming on G98.7, Canada’s first Urban Adult Contemporary (AC)-formatted radio station on Monday, November 28 at 6 am.
Following a powerful pre-produced intro count-down, the first song was Jimmy Cliff’s “I Can See Clearly Now”. Founder, President, CEO & Station Manager, Fitzroy Gordon, then opened the airwaves with a prayer, and handed over the mic to Mark & Jem.

Mark & Jem, I did not hear the end of the “Aye, aye, aye” discussion this morning because I had to go into work but I hope you found the origin was Jamaica’s Toots and the Maytals “Monkey Man” from 1969. G987, let’s grove baby!!
Are you guys still doing the $1000.00 giveaway in the mornings??
No sorry the giveaway is over.
