Man asks for marijuana on Twitter, gets fired
It has been a long time since we have featured an ‘All-Canadian’ version of the ‘Idiot Ting’ but this former Mr. Lube employee in Vaughan has brought the ‘Idiot Ting’ back home.
A drug-soliciting Mr. Lube employee in Vaughan has been fired after York Regional Police responded to his pleas for a “spliff” on Twitter.
The man tweeted, “Any dealers in Vaughan wanna make a 20sac chop? Come to Keele/Langstaff Mr. Lube, need a spliff.”
The York Regional Police caught wind of the tweet and responded to the man, “Awesome! Can we come too?”
The tweet quickly went viral, with York police retweeting to businessman Jim Treliving (From Dragon’s Den), who is on the Mr. Lube board of directors.
Later on, the official Mr. Lube Twitter page declared that the matter had been “handled”, the employee had been terminated.
