Man wakes up from hangover on cargo ship sailing from Asia to North America
In what can be described as potentially the worst hangover ever, a man named Jiang Wu was staying at a Bed & Breakfast in Eastern China and had a wild night in the town that he mistook a shipping container for the B&B.
When the man woke up, the crate had been loaded onto a cargo ship set for a two-week trip to Los Angeles.
Although the container was sealed the man had a phone on him and called everyone he knew, including the local police who arrived on the scene.
“His problem was, though, that he couldn’t tell us which container he was in and there thousands of them stacked on top of each other,” a police spokesman said.
The man kept banging on the crate and police eventually found him in a container that was stacked 60 feet high.
“He’s very lucky, if he had been asleep for another hour, the next stop would have been America,” a local docker said.
