Man Fakes Robbery to Avoid Telling Wife he blew Over A Grand at Strip Club
Sometimes people tell ‘little white lies’ to their significant others to avoid fights down the road.
Jesus Mata Jr.’s wife perhaps got tired of the little white lies, so Mr. Mata had to come up with something more extravagant.
Mata Jr., 21, recently received a tax refund and decided to spend it at a strip club.
After he spent all the cash, he devised a story to police about how six gunmen in two trucks robbed him at gunpoint with assault weapons, TheDenverChannel.com reported.
The police tried to track down the trucks but got suspicious when no leads emerged.
When detectives questioned Mata Jr. again, he admitted to making up the story to hide the fact that he blew the entire $1000 cheque at a strip club.
He was arrested and charged with filing a false report. No word yet on what his wife will do when she finds out.
