Woman steals 2 police cars in 15 minutes, leads police on wild chase
According to local reports, police said that a 23-year old woman stole two police cars while officers were after her.
The woman, Shayna Sykes was arrested in Pennsylvania after a 15-minute chase that ran through multiple states in the U.S.
The pursuit began after a New Jersey officer made a traffic stop near a police headquarters. While the officer was addressing the driver, Sykes and a man reportedly jumped into the open police car, hitting the officer with the vehicle as they drove away.
The pair drove across the Benjamin Franklin Bridge to Pennsylvania and raced through the streets of Philadelphia until they crashed the cop car.
The man was arrested at the scene of the car while Sykes managed to escape and allegedly stole another police car.
The cruiser started to catch fire before it was wrecked. Sykes was arrested and taken into custody.
Sykes faces charges in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
