Woman torches car at gas station, claims to be God
A 29-year-old woman claiming to be God was arrested after torching her car at a Florida gas station.
Alexandra Barnes pumped gas into her vehicle and allegedly sprayed more gas all over the car. She then entered the store, grabbed a cigarette lighter and repeatedly muttered, “I’ve got to get out here.”
Gas station clerk, Craig Walker fought with the woman to get the lighter and noticed gas on her hands, the woman then grabbed another lighter and fled the store to torch her Scion.
“It was just lit up into flames,” a witness spoke of the car.
She yelled to a bystander that her “babies” were inside, and that bystander saved them, police said.
Barnes then sat down in the middle of International Speedway, repeatedly saying that she was “God,” police said.
An employee was able to shut off the gas pump before an explosion could occur.
Barnes was taken to a hospital for a mental evaluation.
Luckily nobody was hurt in the incident.
