Meshach Taylor, known for his memorable tv roles in “Designing Women” and “Mannequin” died on Saturday, June 28 in his family’s home in Altadena, California at the age of 67.
His family posted the following note on his Facebook page:
“It is with love and gratitude that we sorrowfully announce that our darling, amazingly brilliant and dynamic Meshach, the incredible father, husband, son and friend, has begun his grand transition.”
Taylor was best known for playin Anthony Bouvier on memorable sitcom “Designing Women,” and the window dresser Hollywood Montrose in 1987’s “Mannequin” and its 1991 sequel. His most recent role was in Taylor guest-starred on Criminal Minds in 2012, opposite Joe Mantegna’s David Rossi as Harrison Scott, Rossi’s former Marine sergeant with whom he served in Vietnam on the episode, “The Fallen”. Taylor reprised this role in the episode “The Road Home” in 2014.
He is survived by his wife, actress Bianca Ferguson, his four children.
You’ll be greatly missed.
