Dr. Charles Richard Drew
Today G98.7FM celebrates the achievements of American physician, surgeon, and medical researcher Dr. Charles Richard Drew.
Drew’s field research in blood transfusions, developing improved techniques for blood storage, and applied expert knowledge in developing one of the first large-scale blood banks, helped medics to save thousands of lives of the Allied forces during the early stages of World War II.
