Milestones In Black History: Day 5February 5, 2016
Today G98.7FM celebrates the achievements of interpreter and translator Mathieu DaCosta. DaCosta was favoured by many explorers for his multilingual talents, (thought to have included the languages of Dutch, English, French, Portuguese and an Aboriginal dialect pidgin Basque. He is also documented as being the first recorded black person living in Canada.
