Thirteen-year-old baseball pitcher Mo’ne Davis could be trading her glove…for a pen!
Mo’ne Davis, the first female young pitcher who pitched a shutout game in the Little League World Series this past summer has nabbed a book deal. This little star-in-the making has penned a memoir titled “Mo’ne Davis: Remember My Name.”
Now the book reads as “memoir about a courageous young girl who learned to play ball with the boys, only to outshine them on the national stage in the most watched Little League World Series game of all time.”
Davis brought her Philadelphia Taney Dragons team to a 4-0 victory over Nashville, although they didn’t’ stay in the tournament. Her book sounds like a great read and it’ll hit the bookstores in March 2015.
Mo’ne has since appeared on Sports Illustrated, thrown out the first pitch at a major league World Series game and starred in a car commercial directed by Spike Lee. I expect to see so much more this young rising star!
