Rap has come a long way…
You may remember hearing reports of rapper Nelly lending his X-rated 2001 classic song “Ride Wit Me” to the General Mills cereal company to re-launch the cereal to a new generation of breakfast eaters.
The new campaign, by Saatchi& Saatchi will include five 30-second digital ads directed by Hype Williams (Radio ads are also running as well as Billboards will also be erected in various state locations).
Nelly also re-wrote the classic x-rated song lyrics for a more friendly and ‘tasty’ version for the campaign and Buzz the Bee, ditches his honey wand in favor of shades and black high tops.
