Nicki Minaj is one of the many celebrities who always tries to keep her life private, however the Queens rapper is baring it all on her third upcoming album “The Pinkprint”. The first first track on the album is called “All Things Go”, arguably her most ‘vulnerable’ song to date.
The track is produced by Canadian producer Boi-1da, Vinylz and Allen Ritter and is co-written by singer/songwriter Ester Dean. “All Things Go” features Nicki speaking candidly verse by verse.
Nicki admits on the first verse about hesitantly accepting a proposal 10 years ago. She raps “Ten years ago was when you proposed/ I looked down… ‘Yes, I suppose’”, while she addresses her little cousin’s death.
On the third verse, the rapper goes into detail on why she’s so protective of her relationships with her mother and brothers and closes the verse with a ‘revelation’ that she lost a baby 16 years ago. She raps “My child with Aaron would have been 16, any minute/ So in some ways I feel like Caiah is the both of them/ It’s like he’s Caiah’s little angel, looking over him”.
“All Things Go” is available for instant download when you pre-order “The Pinkprint” on iTunes. The album features guest appearances by Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, Drake, Chris Brown, Ariana Grande, Meek Mill, Skylar Grey, Jeremih and more.
