Nigerian soccer official shot dead by robbers at home

A Nigerian soccer official has been shot dead in a home robbery. Ibrahim Abubakar was approached by armed robbers inside his Abuja home before being killed. The 43-year-old Abubakar was the head of protocol for the Nigeria Football Federation, and is survived by his wife and three children. The Nigerian national team was in Pretoria for a friendly match against Angola, which was played behind closed doors at the organizers’ request.
