Over 3,800 positive results found in doping tests, say WADA figures

New figures from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) found more than 3,800 samples containing banned substances. The samples come from over 280,000 tests carried out globally last year. Surprisingly, this is actually a 10 percent drop from 2013. The athletics world has been suffering from widespread doping claims for some time; this year’s IAAF World Championships in Beijing had 66 athletes that previously faced doping sanctions.
