A Pakistani partnership proved to be a strong reply to Bangladesh, but they’ve still got a way to go as the first Test rolls on in Khulna. At close of play on day 2, Pakistan are 227/1 in the first innings, including a unbroken 2nd wicket stand of 177 between Mohammad Hafeez on 137 and Azhar Ali on 65. This is their response to Bangladesh’s 332 all out, Mominul Haque 80, Imrul Kayes 51, and Mahmudullah 49. Bowling for Pakistan, Wahab Riaz took 3/55 from 26, and Yasir Shah 3/86 from 28. Pakistan are trailing by 105 runs with 9 wickets remaining.
