The Music Industry Achievers Awards, based in New Kingston, Jamaica have come to a close. Creator Nackesha “Queenie” Doyley says the awards show has simply “ran its course” after 5 successful years.     The awards recognized industry professionals or artists who have contributed significantly towards the entertainment industry. During its run, several artists were recognized including Chronixx who nabbed trophies for Reggae Artiste of the Year, Reggae Song of the Year and Best Collab of the Year.     DJ Spice took home Female Artiste of the Year, Best Dressed Female of the Year and Best Video of the year. Doyley thanked all those who supported her endeavour and says she’ll be focusing on her new online radio and TV show that launched this past January.     Source: yardhype.com/Image: dancehallreggaeworld.com   Contributor: Charlen McCallum (follow on twitter: @CharleneCMCC)
