Powell doping hearing continues

Asafa Powell’s hearing relating to doping allegations is underway, and the Jamaican athlete’s legal is asking for proof of qualification from Dr. Paul Wright, the JADCO-appointed official inspecting Powell’s urine sample at the National Trials. Wright, along with Sherone Simpson, is expected to take the stand in the two-day session. Last year, a number of Jamaican athletes, including Veronica Campbell Brown, came back positive in their drug tests, but no hearings for them have taken place as of yet.
