Raptors GM promises Canadian player on team

Toronto Raptors GM Masai Ujiri wants to see a Canadian player on the team. It’s part of the pledge he made at a conference yesterday on the state of basketball in Canada.¬†Ujiri says it just makes sense for local talent to join Canada’s only NBA team, and while he can’t name names, all signs are pointing to Vaughan phenom Andrew Wiggins, currently with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Meanwhile, the Raptors are working with their current squad tonight as they visit the San Antonio Spurs.
