Russia athletics body to admit to some claims in WADA report

The Russian Athletic Federation says they plan to admit to some of the charges made by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), who released a report accusing Russia of state-sponsored doping. Their admission means that the country can avoid a ban from athletics, especially with the Summer Olympics coming next year in Rio de Janeiro. Still, Russia’s Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko says even with a ban, the country won’t boycott the Rio Games because, as he put it, “Russia is against political interference in sport”.
