South Africa end in 4-1 series victory over Windies

The West Indies must be happy to leave South Africa, as a partnership of two of South Africa’s men helped to batter their visitors by 131 runs in the 5th and final ODI at Centurion. Proteas skipper Hashim Amla teamed up with Rilee Rossouw for a 3rd wicket stand of 247. Rossouw, the man of the match, leaves the series on a high note with 132, and captain Amla was the man of the series with 133. This led South Africa to 361/5 from a reduced 42 overs. Windies allrounder Andre Russell took 3/85 from 8, and captain Jason Holder took 2/77 from 9. The West Indies batsmen caved in to the onslaught as they were bowled out for 230. Top scores: Marlon Samuels 50, Narsingh Deonarine 43, and wicket keeper Denesh Ramdin 40. Bowling for South Africa, Wayne Parnell picked up 4/42 from 9, and Kyle Abbott picked up 2/59 from 7. The South Africans won the 5-match series by 4 matches to 1.
