Sri Lanka levelled the 3-match series 1-1 with a somewhat comfortable 7-wicket victory over Pakistan at the second Test in Colombo. Set 153 for victory, the Sri Lankans were guided by Dimuth Karunaratne 50 and skipper Angelo Mathews 43 not out for the game-winning total of 153/3 in the second innings. Bowing for Pakistan, Yasir Shah took 2/55 from 10.3 overs. Dhammika Prasad is the man of the match for his 7-wicket haul overall. This comes as Sri Lanka’s highest Test run-scorer Kumar Sangakkara retires from the Test format; he’s already opted out of the third and final match starting July 3 at Pallekele. Sangakkara made his Test debut 15 years ago, and since he’s racked up over 12,000 runs in 132 matches.
