Sri Lanka left Pakistan’s batsmen gutted, and it’s only the first day here at the 2nd Test in Colombo. Pakistan were bowled out for just 138 in the first innings; no batsmen scored higher than the 42 by opener Mohammad Hafeez. The main culprit was Sri Lankan offspinner Tharindu Kaushal, who took 5/42 from 10.5 overs; Dhammika Prasad picked up 3/43 from 13 overs. In reply, the hosts are 70/1 at close of play, with Kaushal Silva on 21 and Kumar Sangakkara on 18; Dimuth Karunaratne dismissed for 28. Sri Lanka now trail by 68 runs with 9 wickets remaining.
