Derrick Rose to help pay for funeral of 6-month-old

Derrick Rose is living the dream as he was born and raised in Chicago and now is the starting point guard for the Chicago Bulls (Albeit he is injured for the season).
The former NBA-league MVP is still leaving his mark on Chicago even though he hasn’t played a game with the Bulls all season.
Rose plans to assist in paying for the funeral of Jonylah Watkins, a six-month-old girl who was shot while her father changed her diaper.
The shooting was reported to be gang related as the father, Jonathan Watkins, 29 was also shot, but remains in stable condition. The father was the intended target of the shooting, as he is a member of a local Chicago gang.
Rose has tweeted about his disgust for violence in the city of Chicago in the past saying; “I pray everyday for US for real. I know I shouldn’t be saying this because I hoop and it’s not my lane but I feel like [people] should hear this.”
He added, “I’m sitting here just thinking how sad it is that my city got to go through this. I love my city and everyone in it even my haters!”
Rose has not spoken publicly on the matter.

What he did was all class. I have total respect for D-Rose. A few would help reach out to the community while others will spend on dumb “Swag” crap. Many blessings to Rose.
