Legal Fight over Aaliyah’s music

A music publisher is fighting over the right to Aaliyah’s music nearly 12 years after her death.
Reservoir Media Management filed a lawsuit against a company called Craze Production, claiming Craze has been illegally selling songs from Aaliyah’s albums, “Aaliyah” and “One in a Million” on iTunes.
Reservoir claims it’s the owner of the songs in question as they acquired the music rights in 2012 and never gave Craze the permission to sell the music.
They are seeking to block Craze from selling any more of Aaliyah’s music.
