Lamar Odom slammed over his charity
Lamar Odom was slammed by ESPN’s “Outside the Lines” over his cancer charity, Cathy’s Kids, which the ball player founded back in 2004.
The problem is allegations that Cathy’s Kids has never given a single dime to cancer causes.
The charity was named after Odom’s mother who died from stomach cancer.
To date the charity has raised $2.2 million. More than half of that money, ($1.3 million) has gone to fund youth basketball travel teams.
The charity has one paid employee, Odom’s high school coach Jerry DeGregorio who takes a annual salary of $72,000.
According to tax returns, the charity has operated at a loss and is $256,000 in debt.
