Michael Jackson trial defense warns jury of singer’s ‘darkest secrets’
The hearing at the Michael Jackson trial opened up their arguments by lawyers from both sides. This sets the stage for a lengthy trial in which the Jackson family is suing entertainment company AEG for wrongful death.
AEG’s attorney, Marvin Putnam warned the jury that AEG would reveal dark sides of Jackson to defend itself. “We’re going to show some ugly stuff.”
Putnam also added that AEG could not have known Jackson was using propofol or the depth of his addiction to prescription drugs, he said. “The truth is Michael Jackson fooled everyone. He made sure that no one – nobody – knew his deepest, darkest secrets.”
This trial is shaping up to be huge already as the witness list includes Diana Ross, Prince, Spike Lee, Quincy Jones, Jackson’s own family and his ex-wives Lisa Marie Presley and Debbie Row.
