Kanye West Calls Out Nike During Performance

During a stop in Nashville at the Bridgestone arena on his Yeezus Tour, Kanye hopped on the mic for about 6 minutes to express his feeling towards Nike, and he didn’t have the nicest things to say, “Everyone at Nike, everyone at Nike… just let go of culture.”
Kanye preached the importance of following a dream, creativity and culture and talked about the media and corporations attempting to keep him from fully committing to his self-expression.
He made reference to his former creation Yeezys made from under Nike; “Did you not want the Yeezys? Nike would make you believe it was my fault that you couldn’t get them, but that was not the case,” expressed Yeezy. I wanted there to be as many Yeezys as there was LeBrons, and I wanted them to be at a good price, but that was not my choice, and we’re going to change everything. And … I’m going to create more than you think that any musician in the history of time ever could have.”
Remember this week when we mentioned Kanye was trying to boycott Louis Vuitton because the company head refused to meet with him? It seems like that protest is over, because he mentioned “I talked to the head of Louis Vuitton today…they wished me a Happy Thanksgiving. I said, ‘I want to talk about something that isn’t turkey day. I want to talk about something different. I want to talk about dreaming,” gushed Kanye.
