SNL Hires First Female Black Cast Member In 7 Years!

After being accused of having a lack of diversity, the late night popular sketch comedy has made Sasheer Zamata their newest cast member. SNL Viewers noticed that there hadn’t been a woman of color since the departure of Maya Rudolph in 2007. Newcomer Zamata studied drama at the University of Virginia and has performed at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater in New York City. She will join the cast on stage on the January 18th episode, hosted by Drake.
