Saturday Night Live Recap: Drake’s Memorable Sketches
If you missed last Saturday’s SNL episode, here’s a recap: The night debuted Canadian rapper Drake nailing his first double host/performance gig, and showcased his acting abilities in memorable sketches including a flashback to his bar mitzvah, a cheeseball, mustache-adorned dad, and impressions of Jay Z, A-Rod, Katt Williams and a Lil-Wayne-as-Steve Urkel parody.
And let’s not forget his hilarious line of the night during his monologue where he described Toronto as where: ” the rappers are polite, and the Mayor smokes crack.”
The night also showcased red-lit Drake performing a striped down version of “Started From The Bottom” with new track “Trophies” as well as a blue-lit Drake performing a piano-accompanied version of “Hold On, We’re Going Home” mixed with the very personal “From Time” alongside duet partner and tour-mate Jhené Aiko.
