The Biggest Loser’s Rachel Frederickson Criticized Over Weight Loss
This is awkward…a winner on a weight loss TV show is being judged about losing too much weight.
According to ET Online, the newly crowned winner from NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” has come under public scrutiny as a result of her drastic 155-pound weight loss. Rachel Frederickson is the first contestant in history to finish the show underweight at 105-pounds.
With names like anorexic being thrown at her, Rachel’s trainer Dolvett Quince rebuttals, “Please try not to look at once slice of Rachel’s journey and come to broad conclusions,” he wrote. “Rachel’s heath is and has always been my main concern, and her journey to good health has not yet ended!!”
During the season finale, trainers Jillian and Bob jaws dropped when Frederickson debuted her frail-looking frame. However Frederickson backs up her weight loss, “First and foremost, my goals are to be healthy and strong,” she added when asked about the backlash over her weight loss. “I’m an athlete. I’ve been an athlete since I was a little girl. And I went on The Biggest Loser journey to find that confidence that I lost.”
