Dr. Dre Sues Former Label Death Row

Rapper/ Producer Dr. Dre is seeking $3 million in unpaid royalties for material he worked at his former label Death Row Records.
The lawsuit, filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Los Angeles claims that the California hit-maker was owed $676,400 for unpaid mechanical royalties, $1.2 million in unpaid artist/producer royalties and $1.2 million in digital sales of his music. 

According to, Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Young also alleges there are inconsistencies relating to payments he has received and he claims Death Row have yet to honour a bonus, which would increase his album sales revenues from 18 to 20 per cent.
