Nas Developing Autobiographical Series With Xbox
Rapper Nas is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his groundbreaking debut album “Illmatic” by joining forces with Xbox to develop a series loosely based on his life.
The show will be titled “Street Dreams” and will be available to all game consoles. The storyline will center a young rapper from the Queensbridge projects trying to get himself a record deal in the early 90s.
“Street Dreams” will show what it takes to become a popular rap artist, while focusing on his relationships with family members and his music.
The half hour show is being written and directed by Jonathan Levine with Nas contributing to the script and music for the show’s soundtrack.
The premiere date has not been released.
