Queen B Performes ‘XO’ At The 2014 Brit Awards

Blue Ivy’s mama performed ‘XO’ on television for the first time on Wednesday at the 2014 Brit Awards. Included in Beyoncé’s performance was a musical accompaniment recorded by the London Chamber Orchestra.
“How you all feeling?” she said prior to her performance. “I’d like to dedicate this song to all my incredible fans. I love you all. Sing along with me tonight, alright?”
Beyoncé showed off her powerhouse vocals while decked out in a glittering blue Vrettos Vrettakos gown, that featured 400,000 blue zircon crystals.
Recently, the ‘XO’ track came under fire due to the six-second audio clip from the 1986 NASA Challenger explosion. After she received criticism for including the clip, Beyoncé issued an apology.
“My heart goes out to the families of those lost in the Challenger disaster,” she said in statement to ABC News in December. “The song ‘XO’ was recorded with the sincerest intention to help heal those who have lost loved ones and to remind us that unexpected things happen, so love and appreciate every minute that you have with those who mean the most to you.”
