The Fight for Lupita Nyong’o: Mexico vs. Kenya

 
Ever since the rise to fame for Lupita Nyong’o, Kenya and Mexico have been competing for the “12 Years a Slave” star who is of Kenyan descent, but was born in Mexico City, and lived there for part of her childhood.
 
Her family then moved back to Kenya, and she stayed there until she went to the U.S. to attend the Yale School of Drama. Well, who’s the winner?
 
Lupita says she’s both, “I’m Mexican-Kenyan and I am fascinated by carne asada tacos.”
