At the box office this weekend, “Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters” goes for the number one spot.
Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, which stars Jeremy Renner, came in at number one with $19 million. The movie cost $50 million to produce.
Last weekend’s number one movie Mama came in second place with $12.9 million. With $48.7 million, the movie becomes the highest grossing film of 2013 so far.
Silver Linings Playbook came in third this week with $10 million. That brings its total to $69.6 million after 11 weekends on the box office.
Zero Dark Thirty was fourth this week with $9.8 million bringing the Oscar-nominee to a total of $69.9 million.
Debuting this week is the Jason Statham film, Parker which closes out the top 5 racking in $7 million dollars.
