Things just got awkward on live TV … with Al Roker seemingly calling out Matt Lauer for railroading Ann Curry off of the “Today” show.
Al, Matt and Savannah Guthrie were hanging with some Olympic rowers who were talking about some of their post-race traditions … which includes flinging one of their teammates into the water. Matt joked… “The tradition here in NY is you throw her in the Hudson River.”
That’s when Roker quickly chimed in … “Which is different than OUR tradition … which is you throw one of us under the bus, but that’s another story.”
Cue some awkward laughter from Matt and Savannah. As previously reported, Ann believes Matt trashed her behind the scenes of the show … and pressured NBC to fire her. Part of Matt’s deal in re-signing with Today was that Ann had to hit the road.

When CHRIS BROWN assaulted RIHANNA in February of 2009, she was “angry, hurt and betrayed.” But at the same time, she was also worried about Chris. In a newly-released clip from this Sunday’s interview with OPRAH, Rihanna says, quote, “It was a weird, confusing space to be in . . . just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help . . . and who’s going to help him?”

PETA recently posted an open letter to LADY GAGA for wearing what looked like real fur recently. They even compared her to KIM KARDASHIAN, who was FLOUR-BOMBED earlier this year for wearing fur. Well, Gaga has written back, saying quote, “I am choosing not to comment on whether or not the furs I purchase are faux fur-pile or real because I would think it hypercritical not to acknowledge the python, ostrich, cow hide, leather, lamb, alligator, ‘kermit’ and not to mention meat, that I have already worn.”
She added, “I have truly always stayed away from skinned fur . . . but this does not mean my morals are rigid and that I won’t bend at the sight of an absolute art piece of a coat. ….”You see a carcass, I see a museum pièce de résistance. But I am truly sorry to fans who are upset by this, it’s a fair and applaudable feeling about the health and safety of animals. I respect your views, please respect mine.” And she closed with this . . . quote, “And to campaigners, Save your flour to make bread for the children who are hungry. And Kim Kardashian is fabulous.
