SNOOP DOGG WANTS YOU TO SMOKE HIS NEW BOOK
SNOOP DOGG says he's putting out a songbook called "Rolling Words", which includes pages of lyrics to his songs. But the crazy part is that the pages will be made out of rolling papers . . . and they'll be SMOKABLE. If you really do want to smoke the pages, Snoop added a place to strike your match on the spine. The rest of the book is made out of twine and hemp. ummmm WOW?? http://youtu.be/HkfC2dfNHGM
60 MINUTES HOST MIKE WALLACE HAS DIED
Veteran TV news anchor MIKE WALLACE who was with "60 Minutes" for 38 seasons died Saturday at the age of 93. Wallace's health had been failing for the past several years. He underwent triple bypass surgery in 2008. He'd stepped down from "60 Minutes" two years before that, but returned every once in a while to do interviews. Colleague MORLEY SAFER wrote a tribute for CBS, saying that Wallace, quote, "took to heart the old reporter's pledge to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. He characterized himself as 'nosy and insistent.' "So insistent, there were very few 20th century icons who didn't submit to a Mike Wallace interview. He lectured Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, on corruption. He lectured Yassir Arafat on violence." He wasn't always the one giving the lectures though, sometimes his interviewees lectured HIM. Here's a famous clip of Mike getting slapped up in an interview by Farrakhan... http://youtu.be/bktQsfARjdU
Wallace was one of the original members of the "60 Minutes" team when it premiered in 1968. Next Sunday's show will be dedicated to him.
Word on the street is that since Ninja Man's release on bail, he has recorded a new single with fellow dancehall artist, KipRich. Ninja Man, born Desmond Ballentine, pointed out that the song with KipRich chronicled the trials and tribulations that he endured while he was in jail.
Meanwhile, Ninja Man says he is ready to once again take back his place in dancehall. "Some a dem say dem a king, some say dem a queen, some say dem a prince, but mi a di emperor of the dancehall, mi a di grandfather of the dancehall, mi higher than everything," he proclaimed.
Ninja Man was recently released on bail after being in custody for three years. He and his son Janiel are charged with the murder of Richard Johnson who was fatally shot in his yard on March 16, 2009. A trial date has been set for July 16 in the Home Circuit Court.
