R.I.P. ACTOR RON PALILLO ASK “HORSHACK” FROM WELCOME BACK KOTTER
Ron Palillo . . . who played high school student Arnold Horshack from “Welcome Back Kotter” . . .died yesterday morning of a heart attack. He was 63. Although he was a heavy smoker, Ron was said to be in good health in the weeks leading up to his death.
“Kotter” ran from 1975 to 1979 and launched the career of JOHN TRAVOLTA. But for Ron, crippling depression made it hard to maintain a career after it ended. Although he finally overcame that and forged a career in live theater. His post-“Kotter” film and TV work consisted mostly of bit parts. For instance, he was killed off by Jason Voorhees in the 1986 “classic” “Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives”. Palillo also illustrated two children’s books and wrote a play called “The Lost Boy”, based on the life of “Peter Pan” author J.M. Barrie. It was produced in 2005. And he was a teacher at the G-Star School of The Arts for Motion Pictures and Broadcasting in Palm Springs. Horshack is the second “Sweat Hog” to leave us. Earlier this year ROBERT HEGYES . . . who played Epstein . . . also died of a heart attack.

MORE HEALTH PROBLEMS FOR TONE LOC
TMZ says Tone Loc appeared to have a SEIZURE while at a charity event in Hollywood on Monday night.
Multiple sources say he “flailed around in his seat . . . fell to the floor . . . and was gasping to breathe.” His friends attended to him, by “wiping the sweat from his head,” and giving him cold water. He stopped convulsing . . . and then immediately left to go home and rest. An ambulance was on the way, but it was called off when Tone Loc came to. So what is going on here? His manager insists that he did NOT have a seizure Monday night . . . he just “got sick from bad food.”
