OPRAH BREAKS POLICY TO GRAB VIEWERS OPRAH'S cable network OWN is now over a year old, and apparently the ratings haven't lived up to her expectations because she's literally BEGGING for viewers. And not just any viewers . . . she wants the PEOPLE WHO COUNT to tune in. On Sunday, Oprah Tweeted, quote, "Everyone who can please turn to OWN especially if you have a Nielsen box." There are two things wrong with Oprah's Tweet: First off, it violates Nielsen's policy.  In fact, Oprah later deleted it "at the request of Nielsen."  She says, quote,  "I intended no harm and apologize for the reference." But more importantly, it kinda sucks that Oprah has resorted to soliciting viewers. For what it's worth, Oprah was trying to snatch viewers away from the Grammys to tune into an "Oprah's Next Chapter" episode that featured a Hasidic Jewish family who has never watched TV.               WHITNEY'S SALES (AND PRICES) SKYROCKET It's easy to get emotional about a singer after they've passed prematurely, as Whitney Houston did Saturday at the age of 48. But fans seeking to buy her digital albums in remembrance weren't too happy at sudden price hikes so soon after her death. British fans picked up on it quickly, noting that Houston's  Ultimate and Greatest Hits Collections went from around $8 US to up to $15 on Amazon and iTunes. Sony Music increased the price of "The Ultimate Collection" at about 4 a.m. Sunday, not even 12 hours after news broke of Houston's death. Fans were quick to point fingers at Apple for the mark up, but it turned out that when Sony bumped up the wholesale price, iTunes and other retailers automatically upped their pricing.         ADELE SAYS SHE'S DONE MAKING BREAK UP MUSIC (Your just gonna have to get over that jerk on your own) ADELE'S album "21" has been a huge hit for her, but the singer insists she wont do another  "break-up" album because she's ready to settle down with the right man. Adele told "Vogue" magazine, quote, "I'm wife material!  I'm great.  No one's got to [feel threatened].  It's not like, 'You [eff] me over, and I'm going to write a record and make you the most hated man in the world.' "I am never writing a break-up record again . . . I'm done with being a bitter witch." But Adele doesn't have that reputation anyway . . . she's not TAYLOR SWIFT . . . she's never called out the guy who inspired "21", so no one even knows who he is.  In fact, she even has some nice things to say about him. She says, quote, "You know, he was amazing . . . but it was never going to work. And for ages I was like, 'As if he deserves any kudos for inspiring my record.' "But now, after some time, it only seems right that the person who so far has had the biggest impact on me . . . has now changed my life for  ever with this album . . . deserves a little credit.  I can do things that I never dreamed I'd be able to do. "If I hadn't met him, I think I'd still be that little girl I was when I was 18." Adele is dating a 37-year-old man named Simon Konecki.  He was with her at the Grammys Sunday night. She says, quote, "[Simon is] wonderful.  He's proud of me, but he don't care about what I do or what other people think.  He looks after me.  I don't think I'd have gotten through the recovery for my [vocal cord] surgery if it hadn't been for him."     GLEE'S AMBER RILEY COVERS "I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU" Tonight's Glee episode was shot before Whitney Houston's death, but producers have found a way to dedicate the hour to the late great musical icon. Purely coincidentally, the episode contains Mercedes (Amber Riley) singing 'I Will Always Love You,' the Dolly Parton song Houston made famous in The Bodyguard. Amber who is a huge Whitney fan had just met the icon for the first time two days before her untimely death. The producers have decided to dedicate the episode to Houston's memory with a card in the end credits.          HEF COME GET YOUR SON ...  (PSYCHIATRIC HELP THAT IS) HUGH HEFNER'S 21-year-old son MARSTON was arrested Sunday night for attacking his girlfriend. Marston's girlfriend is 2011 Playmate of the Year CLAIRE SINCLAIR. She told police Marston punched her and kicked her in the stomach.  Police observed bruises and red marks on her body.  Marston was booked for misdemeanor domestic violence and released on $20,000 bail. Claire went to court yesterday to get a temporary restraining order against Marston so she can move her things out of the house they were sharing. She also wants Marston to give her a public apology AND get psychiatric help.  And she says that if he does that, she won't pursue charges. That's the juice! Hope you are spending Valentines with the one you love (and yes YOU count! lol) 🙂
