HARRY BELAFONTE IS NOT IMPRESSED WITH JAYONCE
The “Hollywood Reporter” recently asked 85-year-old HARRY BELAFONTE if he was “happy with the image of minorities in Hollywood today.” Harry, who is a well known civil rights activist had this to say… Quote, “Not at all . . . I think one of the great abuses of this modern time is that we should have had such high-profile artists, powerful celebrities. But they have turned their back on social responsibility. “That goes for JAY-Z and BEYONCÉ, for example. Give me BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, and now you’re talking. I really think he is black.”
Speaking of celebrity image issues, Nivea is taking shots at its ex pitch girl Rihanna and her new bad girl image. .. Last year, Rhi Rhi appeared in several ads for the skincare company, but it sounds like they won’t be asking her back because they have a new CEO . . . and he doesn’t like her image.
Well, he didn’t say that EXACTLY. But he told a German newspaper, quote, “Rihanna is a no go. I do not understand how to bring the core brand of Nivea in conjunction with Rihanna. “Nivea is a company which stands for trust, family and reliability.”
In response, Rihanna posted a picture of the guy, and wrote, “No caption necessary.” (???)
