SCOTT THORSON CLAIMS HE HAD AN AFFAIR WITH MICHAEL JACKSON
Yesterday Scott Thorson, Liberace’s former live-in boyfriend, shared private details of his five-year romance with the flamboyant entertainer. He’s also dropped a bombshell regarding Michael Jackson, claiming he and the King of Pop shared an intimate, sexual relationship in the eighties. “Michael and I had a relationship that… would cross the boundaries,” Thorson claims. “That’s about all I’m comfortable saying… We were both young.” While he concedes that not many will believe that he and Michael were lovers, he says that the two became unlikely friends while he was dating Liberace. After a period of friendship, their relationship blossomed into more. Thorson details his tumultuous relationship with the King of Pop and more in Behind the Candelabra: My Life with Liberace, a book he wrote in 1998 which is currently being adapted for the big screen featuring Matt Damon and Michael Douglas. He is presently penning a follow-up.
SAMUEL JACKSON SOUNDS LIKE AN EMOTIONLESS ROBOT
The couple married in 1980 after a long courtship, but Richardson admits their relationship hasn’t always been smooth. She said sometimes she’d call the actor while he was filming on location to see if he missed her, only for him to say, “No.” (Ouch!)
“I felt abandoned. It was easier in the earlier years when we sometimes acted together onstage,” she said. Even though Richardson says the secret to their longevity is “amnesia,” the 62-year-old insists their bond has greatly improved over time. “He’s changing,” she said. “The other day I cut my hand and he took me to the hospital. Years ago, I’d have to go by myself.” (I’m sorry, I want to be happy for her that her marriage is improving but I just don’t know how to applaud a grown man for not ignoring the fact that his wife just cut herself… maybe it’s me.. )
MEET CANADA’S FIRST BACHELOR
Brad Smith is Canada’s first bachelor. Smith says he’s “extremely honoured to be chosen as Canada’s first bachelor,” and says “I can’t wait to meet all the wonderful Canadian women who have put their lives on hold to experience all of this with me. I hope I can live up to their expectations, as I know they’ll absolutely exceed mine.” The 28-year-old has served as a wide receiver for several CFL teams, including the Montreal Alouettes and the Toronto Argonauts. Currently a free agent, Smith now lives in Toronto.
