Thoughts?: President Barack Obama Says “N” Word During Candid Interview!

President Barack Obama is receiving quite a bit of backlash after using the "N" word, during a candid interview with comedian Marc Maron to make a point in his argument that the United States has yet to overcome its issues with racism.     "Racism, we are not cured of it." Obama begins, "and it's not just a matter of it not being polite to say n***** in public...that's not the measure of whether racism still exists or not. It's not just a matter of overt discrimination. Societies don't, overnight, completely erase everything that happened 200 to 300 years prior."
The stirring comment comes in the wake of the on-going debate over the role of race after a white supremacist killed nine African-Americans last week in a historically black church in Charleston, South Carolina.     The White House released a statement saying that this is not the first time the President has used the N-word. "Truth is he uses the term about a dozen times in Dreams from my Father." (Obama's 1996 memoir)   What do you think? Are people taking Obama's use of the "n" word out of context? Should Obama be praised for his growing willingness to discuss race during the final years of his presidency?     Share your thoughts with us in the comment section below!
