War On Poverty Declared
In 1964 President Lyndon B. Johnson declared an “unconditional war on poverty in America” during his State of the Union address.
During his first years of office he coordinated one of the most extensive legislative programs in the Nation’s history.
Lyndon B. Johnson’s vision was to have “A Great Society” for the American people and their fellow men elsewhere.
