Muhammad Ali Becomes Boxing Heavyweight Champion Of The World
Born Cassius Clay, at the age of 22 Muhammad Ali defeated Sonny Liston and became boxing’s Heavyweight Champion.
Outside of the ring Ali held high values for his religious freedom and racial justice.
As one of the most recognized sports figures of the past 100 years, Ali has been crowned “Sportsman of the Century” by Sports Illustrated and “Sports Personality of the Century” by the BBC.
