1993 World Trade Center Attack

In 1993 a massive truck bomb exploded inside the underground garage at the World Trade Center in New York City. Six people were killed and thousands suffered from smoke inhalation.

The bomb was ignited at 12:15pm local time, leaving a 100-foot crater in the car park.

This was the first attack on American soil since Pearl Harbour, however it would not be the last attack on the World Trade Center.

The individuals responsible for the attack were identified as members of the Al Qeada terrorist group.
